Hair Removal
From brows to big toes, hollywoods to chins, no matter where hair is we can wax it for you!
Depending on the area of the body we are waxing we use different types of wax that is suited to give not only the best results but give the most comfort. For example we use specially formulated sensitive wax for our intimate waxing that sticks only to hairs and not the skin (which is what makes traditional waxing painful) so you'll be surprised how little discomfort there really is
For a lot of women, there are a number of fears to getting undressed to be waxed but please understand it’s normal for us. We’ve been waxing women of all shapes and sizes for years, there is no judgement involved. We focus on what hair we need to remove and get it done as comfortably as possible.

Here are some of our most asked questions about waxing.....
Q. I have never been waxed before! What should I expect?
We do a full consultation prior to waxing in order to ascertain whether you suffer from any allergies, have a hyper sensitive skin or have any other medical conditions which may affect your treatment, this will be followed by a quick chat to discuss previous hair removal methods etc, this ensures that the correct wax is used and relevant aftercare advice is given.
Your chosen treatment will then be explained to you and you will have a chance to ask any questions you may have. You will then be left for a couple of minutes to undress and get comfortable before your treatment begins.
Q. Is there a minimum age?
For standard waxing the minimum age is 16. However, if you are under 16 I will need parent/guardian consent and they will need to come along to your appointment. For intimate waxing (with the exception of The Basic Wax) I will not wax anyone under the age of 18.
Q. Does it hurt?
Not as much as you are probably expecting. Yes you will feel some discomfort as the hair is being removed from the root but if you keep up with waxing regularly and don't use other methods of hair removal between treatments waxing becomes a lot easier and quicker. We hear so many horror stories in particularly about intimate waxing and therapists using strip wax which can be very painful. We can assure you we use a specially formulated wax for sensitive areas to minimise discomfort. It may hurt a little but fades instantly when the patch is removed. ALL our clients always say it’s never as bad as they thought it was going to be.
Q. How long does the hair need to be?
For your first wax, the hair ideally needs to be about 1.5cm in length. When you shave, the hairs can get really tough and stubborn to remove so it is best that the wax has plenty to grab on to for better removal. After you've been waxed before the hair doesn’t need to be as long as the hairs will be finer so we can wax hairs as short as 0.5cm.
Q. How long will it take for hair to grow back?
It depends on your natural growth pattern but as a guide around 3-6 weeks. However, not all hairs reappear at the same rate so you may see some regrowth quicker than this. Some hairs will be growing below the skin at the time of the wax. After your first wax its a good idea to have another wax inbetween our recommended timing to get rid of these hairs so that we can try and get all hairs on the same growth cycle.
Q. How often will I need to get waxed?
For best results, we recommend a wax every 4-6 weeks. It will take a few treatments to get the hairs on the same growth cycle. With each waxing treatment it will not only become less painful but also begin to last longer.
Q. Will I be sore after waxing?
You may very well go away sporting the plucked chicken look or redness, this is perfectly normal. This should subside over 24-48 hours. If you do experience persistent redness or irritation or if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Q. I have a special occasion/holiday coming up! When should I get waxed?
If you’ve not been waxed before we advise you get as many waxes in before as you can. If possible we would recommend planning 3-4 waxes roughly every 5 weeks upto the event and a final wax a few days before. It takes a few waxes to get your hair on the same growth cycle and with each wax your hair will become finer and you will get longer lasting results.
Q. Can I get waxed when im pregnant?
Yes you can! You may be a little more sensitive but you can still be waxed. The Brazilian and Hollywood are becoming increasingly popular with ladies just before their due date
Q. Will I need to remove my underwear?
For intimate waxing ideally yes as it makes things easier for us and also speeds up the treatment. A modesty towel will be given to help keep you covered as we do the treatment. We totally understand this might feel a bit uncomfortable but please remember as one of our most popular treatments we do this a lot and are totally professional. We are focusing on the hair we need to remove and keeping you comfortable. If you are super uncomfortable about removing underwear we can offer a disposable g-string or you can wear your own g-string style underwear. Please do not wear your best underwear if you want to do this as they may get wax on them.
Q. I have ingrown hairs what can I do to help reduce the risk?
Exfoliate the effected area a few times a week. You can also use products that contain tea tree to help reduce the risk of blocked pores.
Q. I have sensitive skin, is that a problem?
No its not a problem at all, this is why we complete our consultation form, so that we can use products most suited to your skin type. All non intimate waxes are done using wax that contains desensitising active principles and is suitable for all skin types including highly sensitive skin. The wax used for intimate waxing is a low allergy risk formula that is ideal for sensitive skin and intimate areas. If you are still concerned we are happy to carry out a patch test on the area you would like waxing for your peace of mind.
Q. Can I get waxed if im on my period?
You can if your comfortable with it but please keep in mind your hormone levels can effect how painful a wax is. If you want to go ahead we recommend popping a fresh tampon in and tucking the string in as much as you can before your appointment. Due to the fluctuations of hormones we highly recommend trying to avoid hair removal 2 days before starting your cycle and 2 days after finishing your cycle for your comfort. This applies to not only intimate waxing but can affect all areas of the body for some people so keep this in mind.
